Maxpedition Rat Wallet Review

The Maxpedition RAT Wallet is designed to store your identity cards, your credit cards, money but also to hold an MP3 player or a PAD.

Technical features:

The Maxpedition Rat Wallet, just like the Spartan of the same brand, is made of 1000 Denier ballistic nylon and features a Teflon cover. There are 3 waterproof layers of polyurethane and YKK zippers. The centering closing system is made by a simple quick release and some Velcro.

The wallet is 14.5cm x 10cmx 5cm and the photos compartment is placed out front. The first compartment is closed by a zipper and is also designed to store your small coins.

The second compartment contains a small pocket for the small items. You can place another key of your car, for instance.

The third compartment is dedicated to your PAD. It is elasticated so that it gives some kind of elasticity and it features a soft cover to protect the screen.

The forth compartment is for your identity cards, money, cards and so on. There’s no need to insist on this.

The back of the Rat Wallet includes a subtle space for you to store what you need. You can insert a flyer, if you want.

The wallet is secured with Velcro system and you can carry the wallet on your belt.

When we talk about the pros:

  • The numerous compartments
  • The space for your PAD
  • The possibility to carry it on your belt

The cons:

  • The size. This fits in a pocket of your softshell and very well slips into an EDCM.
